TRACK 1

  • Open to advising through in-person meetings, video conferencing, or over email with an interested mentee. Of course, this is dependent on a number of factors, including location of our Mind (mentor) and the mentee (you). This is indicated by the presence of a ‘connect button’ at the bottom of the Mind’s article as seen below:

TRACK 2

  • Open to responding to mentee questions submitted through our Q&A form. This will allow you to submit questions you may have for a highlighted Mind and MindsOf will get a response to your question and share it with you through either a direct email or publishing all questions and answers in a published article. This is indicated by the presence of a ‘ask a question’ button at the bottom of the Mind’s article as seen below:

Networking

Bridging the gap between Jamaican nationals who have found success in their respective fields and students who are just beginning their professional journey is the heartbeat of our organization.

Networking and mentorship goes hand in hand. Reaching and connecting with individuals in various is how you build your network. A subset of this growing network will represent future mentors. MindsOf provides these mentors in an accessible format that increases your potential for success.

Networking isn’t merely the exchange of information with others — and it’s certainly not about begging for favors. Networking is about establishing and nurturing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with the people you meet. As you network with people at your school, at your job, and even outside your field of interest, you’ll uncover opportunities to connect with different types of mentors and advisors, increase your visibility, further develop your areas of expertise, and improve your soft skills.
